Wave Festival is a family friendly community festival on Hayling Island, bringing people together for live music, creativity and a great day out. The festival celebrates local talent and helps support the free youth sessions and activities delivered by Wave Children’s Charity.
About the Wave Festival
The Wave Festival is a one day community festival on Hayling Island created for families, young people and the wider local community. It brings people together for live music, creative activities and shared experiences in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
Alongside live music and entertainment throughout the day, the festival offers a full programme of family activities, with attractions included in the ticket price, so families can enjoy the day without worrying about extra costs.
Wave Festival also plays an important role in supporting Wave Children’s Charity. Funds raised help provide free youth sessions, mentoring and creative opportunities for local children and teenagers, offering a safe and supportive space where young people can build confidence, form friendships and feel part of their community.
By coming along, everyone helps make a real difference to young people on Hayling Island while enjoying a great day out.
Live music and entertainment
Wave Festival features live music throughout the day, with a mix of local bands, crowd favourites and headline performances. From relaxed daytime sets to high energy evening acts, the music programme is designed to suit all ages and is supported by walk around entertainers and festival style performances across the site.

Headline Act
Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden perform the biggest hits from Boyzone and Westlife, bringing a feel good singalong moment to the evening.

Festival tickets
Tickets for the Wave Festival 2026 are available online via Eventbrite.
Your ticket gives you access to the full festival experience, including live music, headline performances, family-friendly entertainment and a wide range of activities for both adults and children. Many activities are included in the ticket, helping families enjoy the day without extra costs.
Food and drink will be available to purchase from local vendors across the site. Licensed bars will be available for guests over 18.
Wave Festival is organised by Wave Children’s Chairty. The event is professionally run with accredited security, first aid and facilities in place, with all profits supporting Wave’s work with local children and young people.
Photographs and video footage may be taken during the event for promotional purposes. Event details and timings are subject to change.

Wave Festival FAQs
Yes. There is ample free parking available in adjacent fields. From the parking area, there is a walk of approximately 400 metres across flat ground, which should be suitable for most people, including prams.
The festival opens at 11:00am. The first live music act and the bars will also start at this time.
No. You can bring either a printed ticket or an electronic version on your phone, as long as the barcode can be scanned.
Yes. Re-entry is allowed. You will be given a numbered wristband when you first enter, which must be worn to re-enter the event.
It is unlikely that tickets will be available on the day. We strongly recommend buying tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
Yes. There is a designated accessible parking area within approximately 50 metres of the event entrance. The festival takes place on grass within the Tournerbury Golf Centre driving range, which is flat and relatively smooth.
A range of activities are planned, including live music, inflatables, family attractions and entertainment for children and adults. Activities are subject to change.
Yes. A selection of local food vendors will be on site throughout the day, offering a range of options to suit different tastes.
Yes. Two licensed bars will be operating from 11:00am, serving alcoholic drinks including lager, ale, cider and cocktails. Soft drinks will also be available.
Yes. There will be a drinking water tap on site. Please bring your own bottle or container. Free jugs of water will also be available at the bar area, and bottled water can be purchased.
Yes. There will be portable toilets available within the event area.
Yes, you are welcome to bring a picnic and chairs. However, stoves, alcohol and glass bottles are not permitted, with the exception of baby food.
Yes. Seating is limited, so you are welcome to bring your own chair if you wish.
Only assistance dogs are permitted. For the safety and comfort of all guests, dogs are not allowed at the event.
Smoking is not permitted in the main event area due to fire risk on dry grass. A designated smoking area will be provided.
Yes. The event will be supported by an accredited local security team. Bag searches will be carried out on entry, and alcohol or glass bottles will not be allowed into the event area.
Refund requests will be considered on a case by case basis. Please note that all proceeds support local charities, and if you are unable to attend, your ticket purchase will still contribute to a good cause.
Yes. The festival will go ahead in wet weather. There are no covered areas, so please dress appropriately and bring suitable clothing or umbrellas.
