The Wave Children’s Charity Website Launch

We are proud to officially launch the new website for Wave Children’s Charity, marking an exciting new chapter for our organisation and the Hayling Island community we serve. This refreshed online space has been carefully created to reflect who we are, what we do, and most importantly, the incredible young people who sit at the heart of everything we do.

As Wave continues to grow, so too does our need to communicate clearly, openly and accessibly with families, supporters, volunteers and partners. Our new website brings everything together in one place, making it easier to understand our mission, stay informed about our sessions and events, and see the real difference Wave makes every day.

This is more than just a new website. It is a digital home that mirrors the warmth, safety and positivity of Wave itself.

A new digital home for a growing charity

Since Wave was founded, our focus has always been on creating a safe, inclusive and inspiring environment for local children and young people on Hayling Island. As our youth sessions, events and community reach have expanded, it became clear that our website needed to grow with us.

The new website better reflects the charity we are today. It showcases our work clearly and confidently, while remaining welcoming and easy to use for everyone. Whether someone is looking for information about our youth sessions, learning more about our impact, or considering volunteering, the site is designed to guide them naturally to the right place.

Our About Wave Children’s Charity pages clearly explain who we are, how we work, and why Wave exists, helping visitors understand our values and the role we play in the local community.

Designed with our community in mind

Accessibility was a key priority throughout the website rebuild. We wanted to ensure that everyone in our community can use the site easily, regardless of how they access it.

The website features a clear structure and simple navigation, allowing visitors to explore Wave without confusion. Information about our sessions, events and fundraising activities is easy to find, while clear calls to action help people understand how they can get involved.

The site has also been designed to work seamlessly across mobile phones and tablets, recognising that many families and supporters access information on the go. Whether checking session times, reading the latest news or making a donation, the experience is smooth and intuitive.

Showcasing what we do best

Wave is built on connection, creativity and care, and our new website brings these values to life online.

Dedicated pages highlight our free weekly youth sessions, giving parents and carers clear information about what to expect, who sessions are for, and how young people can take part. These pages reflect the welcoming and supportive atmosphere that Wave is known for and help families feel confident about getting involved.

Our events pages showcase the wider role Wave plays in the community. From fundraising activities to larger community celebrations, visitors can see how Wave brings people together and creates positive opportunities for young people.

We have also placed a strong focus on recognising the role of our volunteers. Their dedication and passion are fundamental to Wave’s success, and the website celebrates the people behind the scenes who help make everything possible.

Making it easier to support Wave

Support from the local community is essential to Wave’s continued impact, and the new website makes it easier than ever to support our work.

Clear contact forms allow people to get in touch with questions, ideas or offers of help, while our donate pages provide a simple and secure way to contribute. Every donation helps us continue providing free, safe and welcoming support for children and young people on Hayling Island.

For those interested in volunteering, the website offers clear and honest information about what volunteering at Wave looks like and how people can make a meaningful difference by giving their time.

By removing barriers and simplifying processes, the new website helps turn goodwill into action.

Supporting local children and families on Hayling Island

At the heart of Wave is a deep commitment to supporting children and families on Hayling Island. Through weekly sessions, creative activities and special events, Wave provides a safe space where young people can build friendships, develop confidence and feel valued.

The new website supports this mission by extending our reach beyond physical sessions. It allows families to stay informed, feel connected and access information whenever they need it, while also helping us share our impact more widely across the community.

Looking ahead to 2026

The launch of our new website comes at an exciting time for Wave, with even more plans on the horizon.

One of the highlights of 2026 will be the Wave Festival, taking place at Tournerbury Golf Centre on 27 June 2026. The festival will be a vibrant celebration of community, creativity and connection, bringing together live music, activities, food and entertainment for all ages.

The Wave Festival plays an important role in raising funds to support Wave’s ongoing work. Organised and run by volunteers, all proceeds help support Wave Children’s Charity and other local charities.

A platform for growth and connection

Our new website is designed not just for today, but for the future of Wave. As the charity continues to grow, the site provides a flexible platform that can evolve alongside us.

It allows us to share news more regularly, promote upcoming events, and keep our community informed about developments at Wave. Most importantly, it strengthens the connection between Wave and the people who make everything possible.

Thank you to our community

This website launch would not be possible without the continued support of our community. From families and volunteers to donors and local partners, every person who supports Wave plays a role in helping young people feel safe, supported and inspired.

We hope the new website reflects the pride we feel in our community and the gratitude we have for everyone who supports our work.

Join us online

The launch of our new website marks an important milestone for Wave Children’s Charity. It represents growth, openness and a renewed commitment to connecting with the people who matter most.

We invite you to explore the site, learn more about what we do, and discover how you can get involved. Whether you are looking to attend a session, volunteer your time, support a fundraising event or simply stay informed, our digital doors are always open.
